Having been around since the 10th century, it’s only natural for coffee and the coffee industry to go through changes and innovations. When coffee was first used in Ethiopia, they were ground and eaten with animal fat. It wasn’t until the Arabs started cultivating the coffee that the beans were brewed and used as a drink. From its beginnings in Ethiopia, the coffee spread to the different parts of the world creating coffee plants that are different from each other. The difference in soil, weather and processing methods in the different parts of the world also resulted in the different tastes of the coffee beans. The history of coffee is one amazing story filled with intrigues, legends, and political and personal issues, so the fact that coffee can be openly cultivated and traded today is a pretty incredible feat.

Coffee enthusiasts understand the history of coffee and are only too willing to try the different coffees from the different parts of the world. With every taste and aroma is an underlying story, with every cup a history that dates back to hundreds of years.

Of course, just like everyone else, different coffee aficionados have different preferences but they are very open to trying out the different coffee products whether – straight or mixed, pure or blended. A person who is more open to trying different things is bound to experience more adventures. This applies even to coffee drinking. There are hundreds of different ways coffee can be enjoyed. You never know how a cup of coffee from another part of the world can affect you until you have tried it.

Blenders can create hundreds of different blends from coffees from all over the world. There is no limit to what blend they can do as there are plenty of regular and exotic coffee varieties from all over the world. From French Roast to Hawaiian Kona Coffee, to Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend to your regular java, its impossible not to find several blends you can actually enjoy. This is why coffee enthusiasts are open to trying different coffees.

You can also take your coffee straight or you can go for mixed coffees. No one should be able to tell you what coffee you should or shouldn’t drink it’s all a matter of personal taste! Go to your local coffee shop and be amazed at the number of coffee mixes available from the cold to the hot varieties. In the beginning you can go for latte which is made with a shot of espresso and more milk, then work your way up to the more exotic concoctions.

You can even use coffee for your kitchen recipes. Really, how you enjoy your coffee is your choice and truth be told, your choice is endless- from caffeinated to decaf, pure coffee to blended ones, from plain to mixed coffee. A little sprinkle of chocolate can change your cup of Joe, put a shot of brandy and coffee to your dessert, add milk to a rich-tasting coffee or take it as it is, it all depends on what you enjoy.
